There are a few VoIP programs on iPhone; however, due to the restriction from AT&T, they can only be used with WiFi, not 3G. Well, imagining you can use them with 3G network, then you can use them just as regular cell phone to make free or cheep international call. Cool, right? Now with a program on Jailbreaked iPhone, called "Tricker ThreeG", you can do it. It works for Skype, Fring, SlingPlayer, and even iTune on your iPhone.

  1. In Cydia, make sure you have added source "modmyi source"
  2. Search "Tricker ThreeG". Once you find it, install it to your iPhone
  3. You are all set. Now you can make Skype and Fring calls through 3G network, and even download songs from iTunes.

Keep in mind, this only works on Jailbreaked iPhone.

This will make any program requiring WiFi to use 3G. So, if this is not what you want, don't do it.
