Before you start writing your article

  1. Choose a topic carefully—one that is not already covered at iPhone Campus. Search to make sure.
  2. Check the deletion policy to determine whether your topic is suitable for iPhone Campus, and understand what iPhone Campus is not.
  3. Gather together the information and, if you are so inclined, the photos that you want to include in your article.
  4. Research facts and techniques from other books or websites. You are encouraged to use facts that you learned elsewhere so long as you credit those sources and don't plagiarize. Write everything in your own words or send us explicit permission from the author to legally import copyrighted content.

About your article's title

The best titles use the fewest words possible. They contain the key words that someone would put into the search box if they were looking for it. The words how to are added automatically for you. Refer to the title policy for more information.

Choose a category/tag

Once you finish your article, click the "tag" link at the bottom to a category/tag for your article. You can use the following categories/tags in addition to others in order to put your articles into the right category.

  • news (for iPhone News)
  • how-to (for how to do things on iPhone)
  • application review (for iPhone application review)
  • must-have (for must-have iPhone applications)
  • jailbreak (for jailbreak iphone)
  • unlock (for unlock iphone)

Your Introduction (first paragraph)

An introduction is normally between 2 and 5 sentences long. It is there to tell your reader exactly what your article is about and to make it sound interesting and convince them to read on. This first paragraph is also used as the digest/summary in each category page to list all of articles.

  1. Check your spelling, grammar and punctuation when you have finished. You are about to publish your work for the world to see!
